How to beat the Duras Gambit (My games)

! I decided to post here more often, some educational stuff and not only. Also don't forget to comment about whatever you liked or didn't in this blog. Today im here to show you how to counter the Duras gambit because up till yesterday I didn't know how to do that hahah : ) . Let's go in to the game :
This game was a big mess starting from the opening phase. My first mistake happened on move 3!!!! That doesn't happen to often. Mostly I play at least 7 to 20 moves of prep and I know what im doing ( I know im not blundering anything obvious).
So starting with the Duras Gambit. 3.Bc4 is a mistake because it goes into 3...d5 which he played in the game and after retreating to b3 he just scooped the pawn back. How should you react?? Of course start with taking the pawn on f5 in the second move and then after 2....Nf6 which is the only "good move" here you play 3.d4!!! Why is that? Because if he know plays d5 attacking our f5 pawn, we can just casually play 4.Bd3! Another line you should know is the line with 1.e4 - f5 2. exf5 - Kf7?? 3. Qh5 - g6 4. fxg6 - Kg7?? 5. gxh7 - Rxh7 6. Qg5 - Kh8!
The engine hates this line for black, but its not "that" easy for white to play here, its very easy to trap your queen somewhere in the center, or leave your king in the middle of the board for some serious attacks. In this game in a Titled Tuesday IM Dominik Horvath won an easy game trapping his opponents queen very quickly.
This is more less how you should play CM Ja Gireman from India shows a masterclass in the Duras Gambit also in a titled tuesday 
.
So the quick summary how to play against the Duras Gambit :
- DON'T play Bc4 on move 3 hahah
- In the Kf7 line try to develop your bishops quickly and try to put immediate threats on your opponents king.
- Don't panic, you know your much better!
- If your opponent plays it, you know he is trolling because this cant be a main opening for any player.
