a heroic comeback against the martin

how hard did martin have to try in order to let me win?

the first thing u might notice if u have played chess more than a week is that i am very bad. but the first thing i noticed is that i gotta work on remembering that the king can take pieces.

i been imagining the king as the weak piece that gotta be defended, like an escort mission in a video game. like this:

but actually the king is good at melee and he got a kingly aura of death like this:

my pictures may be silly but that is how i will remember that the king is not to be trifled with. i am bad at chess but im good at learning and this is my tactic.

and even tho im bad heres what im happy about in how i played against martin bot:

• i got pawns out into the center of the board, and then some other pieces too, instead of moving completely random.
• i castled, because i know that castling exists and how to do it. maybe someday i will even know when to castle.
• i remembered that promotion is a thing and promoted a pawn into a queen.
• i got a checkmate and it wasnt even by accident.
