Dutch GM Jan Werle will be hosting an online simul in Chess.com at 13:30 CEST on May 04, 2020 in observance of National Remembrance Day in the Netherlands. Eight randomly-selected participants (to be announced) will compete in a friendly simultaneous exhibition match with a time control of 15 minutes per player. May the best player win.

Grandmaster Jan Werle is an active Dutch chess player, ranked 11th overall in the Netherlands with a peak Elo rating of 2607. In recent years, the 36-year old grandmaster has focused more on being a chess coach and trainer through giving online lessons to children across the world. Despite this, he had received many accolades as a grandmaster, one of which was being the Overall Champion in the 2018 EU Individual Open Chess Championship in Liverpool. Among the 140 participants who joined in the fray, he drew against GM Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, one of the competitions’ favorites, and besting GM Michael Adams of England in the overall standings to reign as champion in the said tournament. Widening his career path in helping communities learn chess worldwide, he became a chess writer as well, releasing two DVDs: A Modern Approach Against the Sicilian Vol. 1, and just last January, A Modern Approach against the Sicilian Vol. 2: The Moscow Variation, which was highly praised in the chess community. He is planning to publish a book entitled Unbeatable.
