We started with a loss on 4th board with our prodigy Carlos Hoyos Jr. This year the 13 year old was not ready to perform at his potential but I am on the record that he will dominate next year on 4th board.

Stonewall Gaston followed with a loss putting us in a big hole for the match. This year Gaston has struggled and this has caused him to reflective very hard about his own game and what he needs to do to make it to 2300. For the team, we need him to make this jump in order to compete consistently on board 3 next year.

To be fair to GM Gonzalez, his game was comepletely drawn and he was forced to try to push on due to the circumstances.

GM Becerra continued his solid performance for the year but we were defeated 3.5 -.5.

After the defeat I was shocked to see that USCL commissioner Greg Shahade said that he still believe we would still make the playoffs. Little did I know how much insight he had on our team over the years!
