Attacking Chess!! Bishop Clearance

Hi there,

This is Stacia and I hope your attacking spirit is ready for some action because we are going to be looking at some attacking chess ideas this month!  

One of the best things you can do for your chess game is focus on tactics, tactics, tactics... and that is precisely my goal for this entire year.  And for this month?  I'm focusing on a wonderful book entitled Mating the Castled King by GM Danny Gormally.  It's one of my fav chess books, and well, whether you are on the attacking side OR the defending side, you better know your attacking ideas and tactics, and this book does a wonderful job categorizing and commentating on games that involve successful attacks. 

Today's idea is Bishop Clearance and if you don't know what I mean, I mean this!  White to move.  

And now for a study of this idea in practice.
