Standard #28: New Trap Learned
This is Round 5 of a USCF rated tournament game from the Parma Chess Championships. (G90;d5). I played the white pieces against Mark Seaton, a 1600 club player.
Although after this game I felt I played well I was mystified to learn that I missed a win right in the opening; not once, or twice but three times in a row! And in a slow time control no less! I felt there might be something and looked carefully and determined there was nothing and played normal. Chess is hard. lol I'll share this common opening trap idea with you so you don't have to miss opportunity as I did!
Despite my opening blunders I did find myself in a fairly comfortable position until I blundered in the middle game as well! Does my opponant punish my lackluster play? Well, watch to find out. :)
Next video will be the final game of the Parma Championship where student meets master and I face my own coach!
Thanks for watching :)
