Standard #31: My First Sacrifice

I had the taste for blood so I played my first ever King's Gambit and it did not disappoint! (haha actually no I felt terrified lol) The opening was unfamiliar, tricky and I even sacked a piece because hey why not? lol

This game was a 15/10 standard game played on chess.com against a played rated 1450. This game was the 2nd time I essayed the move 1. e4 in preparation for doing this in real tournament play OTB after Jan 1. Yep, my NY Resolution is to give up 1. d4 which will be the hardest thing I've ever done (I haven't had a very hard life lol).

Crazy and suspicious play this game but wow, the point of playing 1. e4 is to learn and correct the weak part of my game which is tactics and dynamics. As you'll see, I have much to learn, but I intend to do just that. Get prepared to see a slew of new openings on my channel as I embark on this 1. e4 journey. hehe
