GM Stanislav Bogdanovich's Mother Needs Urgent Support

A message by Sergey Tkachenko was published today in the Odessa Region Chess Federation FB group. (You can see the screenshot on the bottom here.)

Mariya Bogdanovich, mother of grandmaster Stanislav Bogdanovich who died suddenly in Moscow, Russia on March 5, 2020, now has to travel to Moscow from Odessa, Ukraine in order to bring the body of her son to his hometown and bury him here.

There are multiple legal and financial issues. The total cost required is unpredictable as of now; most probably Mariya will need to raise at least a few thousand dollars to be able to cover all the expenses.

At Mariya’s request we Odessa chess players are trying to help her to fund her travel to Moscow. Any financial support, even small amounts, transferred directly to Mariya Bogdanovich’s bank card is welcome.
