In Lviv

From 11-16 February I participated in a long time control tournament "Title Chase Winter GM" in Lviv, being an oldest player at 48, while the second oldest was the event's organiser GM Yuri Vovk (30), who won the tournament quite confidently, and the third oldest participant was FM Stefan Tomici of Romania, aged 21. And so on... So I felt like a dinosaur under such circumstances! The schedule, 9 games in 6 days, was not particularly easy.

But the outcome was not bad for me at all, and generally my wife Lyuda and I had a very good time there in Lviv. Many our photos are posted in Facebook. Here I'm using a few photos from organisers.

7.a3!? - Golubev v Vovk, Rd 1

The Velimirovic Attack with Black?! Why not. Vetoshko v Golubev, Rd 2

Strangely enough, it was my first ever long time control tournament in Lviv. I had to play it!
One of my games turned to be clearly more spectacular than others.
