Kniight Endgames
Hello everyone,
Today I want to talk about Knight endgames.
Knight in a chess game are not so popular in endgames, but today I want to show you some very interesting endgames that you can do with a Knight.
1. Stuck Checkmate
I like to call checkmate like the one below "Stuck Checkmate" because the king is stuck between his own pieces.
In this endgame position the king is stuck between his own pieces. The Black Knight can't help the position too.
2. Two-Knight Checkmate
Two Knights can be very helpful in a chess game. Like 2 bishops, they are very active pieces if they work together.
In this position, The white king can't run away from white the knights. The knights blocked all the squares that he could run away, and the rest squares are being blocked by the black pawn and his own pieces. The game is finished with blacks victory.
3. Bishop and knight working together
A knight and a bishop can be dangerous if they work together. But if the king is working with them, the opponent cannot win the position!
In our last position, the black king is almost in the corner. White wants to move his knight to e7 square, which will finish the game with black loses. because the bishop blocked all the rest of the squares and the king is guarding it, black is defeated.
Tip: Be careful when using a knight in endgames. You can easily make a silly move and make a stalemate.
Thanks so much and see you on my next posts,
