4 Worst Types of Losing a Chess Game!
Yo Hey everyone! Today I will be sharing 4 of the worst types of game losses in chess in my opinion. Enjoy~~~
#4: Timeout
Who likes timeout? Well, maybe you like it when you did it to your opponent, however it is definitely not very fun when it is you that got timeouts, especially in a winning position. Below is an example of timeout:
On the top position, white has a very strong advantage however lost by timeout. If you are white and got this position then got a timeout, hopefully you won't 'KABOOM' your device or do stupid things.
Tips to prevent this type of lose:
1. Play a slower game control(15+5, 30+0, etc.) if you are not confident
2. Try make premoves gradually, especially when your time is low
3. Keep an eye on your clock and try not to think too long onto one move
Ok, now lets move on~~~
#3: In a winning position and then suddenly lost by a trap
When some people have found out they lost here, they might going to be really angry and say things like this: "f*** you, you cheater, you loser, run s***, etc...". If you have seen this, just report them! How easy is that? However, remember don't say those things to your opponents.
Below is an example...
Can you find the move here? (Answer on the bottom)
Yes, in this position black looks like they are boasting on white however white suddenly found out a deadly attack to black first. In this position, black used to think that he will destroy white, however got shocked that he actually got an *OOF*. If some people were black here, they might gonna 'KABOOM' their device now too or do things that are stupid.
How to prevent this type of lose:
1. Look around the position before you make a decision.
2. Always be aware and sensitive, even if you think it is never going to happen
3. Try to trade as many materials as you can and then get a winning endgame
Ok, I hope you enjoy this one, let's move on:
(Answer: Qb6 a6, Rxa6+ bxa6, Qxa6# 1-0) I hope you have found it, however don't panic if you didn't
#2: Disconnection
This type of lose happens rarely, around 1 in 50-100 games lost. However, never expect you will never going to lose like that, this is definitely going to happen sometimes! Imagine in this position and then disconnected and lost by abortment:
It is white to play here, he/she is about to finish his opponent here however suddenly his/her network got cut out and he did not came back on time, then he/she lost my abortment. I would feel really sorry for him/her. Poor that guy, he/she is screaming all around the house now.
Note: This type of lose only affects online chess, live chess never have this
How to prevent this type of lose:
1. Make sure you have a stable connection
2. Play some games to test it out before you join an online tournament
3. If you’re not comfortable with your connection, play daily chess
Ok, let’s move on!
#1: When you are a game your parent suddenly came in and force you to stop then you lose by abortment
I bet this happens 1 in around 1000, however if you really met up with this then you might want to ‘OOF’ your parent. This thing… I don’t think I would need to give you an example because you can just look at my previous examples to match with this one.
I have never got this before, I bet most of you didn’t. However, if you really did please, do not kill your parents.
Ok, hope you like it. It took me really long to finish this therefore please enjoy it.
