Fair Play Violation !?

So, I was looking at my messages on Chess.com and just noticed the following note:

Well, isn't that special!?  Did I just play a cheater?

Apparently, they did something to have their account banned.  Although, this was five days into me trying to learn chess, so I do not think they needed any special help against me in this game.  (Boy, did I deserved to lose.)  

I was just surprised I was impacted by this.  It does make me wonder how prevalent cheating really is in online Chess.
