We all know how crazy gambling can be right? Well, it's used in chess, how crazy does that sound. Now you might be wondering why I said it's used in chess. Well prepare to go into a whole new world. The World of Chess, (WOC). Now, you might already know how to gamble in chess, but let's show it anyways for the new players! (below)

Now, the black bishop was checking the white king, the king moved out of the check, but because white did his move, black took white's queen. But because the queen was protected white could take blacks bishop! 



Now black gave away his bishop for a queen, that's chess gambling. You waste a piece to risk getting a better piece. Now before you start seeing how the king could've protected the queen better, this was just an example. But sometimes your enemy can make a mistake like that, just don't count on it! 


It's sometimes worth it to lose a piece to gain another piece, but is it always worth it? I Have a simple answer for that "No". As you learn chess more and more you will learn when it is the best time to gamble and not to gamble. Sometimes if you're not careful with your pawns, queens and other pieces, it will lead to defeat. That's why chess is so fun! You can learn from your mistakes over and over! And you can do that in real life too!
