The Great Fork
Not too long ago a GM made a great fork. Here's an example.
Okay okay you caught me, that's not a real game by a GM, but it does explain many things about a fork and how helpful it is, and how it can lead to trouble.
White tried to make a checkmate, and use his knight to make a fork and get a checkmate. Now it was a good try, but there are few things white could've done to avoid checkmate, can you spot them?
