Fascinating Endgame Study

I kinda forgot my promise of posting more "mini-blog" posts over the summer. But I haven't had much content to post, until now... The following endgame study is part of a practice game between nOcHeaTiNgKiD and I against Hanqi in a "team chess" game. What started as a fun training game turned into an amazing endgame study which we spent a long time analyzing in depth all the continuations before consulting with the computer. Enjoy!

Now take a moment (or a few moments) to study the final position. Is white lost like we all thought?
