Getting back to chess?

Hello;

I'm Chris. I love music, I play music, I write music, and music is certainly a big part of my life! :P

I had my doubts, but I've decided to give chess another chance. It has been an incredible long time since I've played any serious chess (about 6 or 7 years, when I was in middle school). I could be a decent player now if I had discovered this site before, but right now I'm stuck with a 800s-900s rating. Hope to rise at least to 1000 soon though :P

It is weird. I seem to be able to give a decent match to people in the range of 1000-1200, but I always make some kind of stupid blunder and lose at the end TT____TT... somebody told me "you're too cautious"... the thing is that to be a little more aggresive I need more vision, and currently it's hard for me to think, let's say, 3 or 4 moves ahead.

I'm having a lot of fun, though, and I'll try to be a decent chess player :D
