My first two conclusions: Me vs VarunS21100
My first two games to conclude finshed on Day 1 of the 2021 Daily Chess Championship. While there were some challenging attacks, solid defenses, and dumbfounding blunders, both games ended up with half a point for each player.
My opponent in these two games was @VarunS21100 - Here is the link to his profile: https://www.chess.com/member/varuns21100
The first game I will show was the first to draw to a close of the two games. This game was the least accurate of the two. VarunS(Black) pulled off a 90% accuracy game, while I(White) came in with a sad 65% accuracy. Anyway, enough talk. On to the game.
The next game was much better. According to the computer analysis, I had 94.3% accuracy while my opponent @VarunS21100 had 97.4% accuracy. Here is the game(I was Black, VarunS was White).
So, there are the two games! However, I said I would create a position with a puzzle: it is below. While you try to solve it, remember that a "win" does not mean that you immediately checkmate the opponent's king, it means that you get a position that you can eventually convert into a win, however long it might take.
I hope you enjoyed this analysis of my first two games to be completed in the 2021 Daily Chess Championship. Be sure to follow me for more coverage of my pairings in the 2021 Daily Chess Championship.
Until the next post,
