In 1961 Bobby Fischer wrote "A Bust To The King's Gambit." In that pamphlet, he outlined a Fischer Defense to the King's Gambit, claiming that it would refute the opening. 65 years later, it's my turn to bust the Queen's Gambit. It's not quite a refutation, but it gives Black a fun game.

The best thing about being retired from classical chess is that I have no need to hide my preparation. This course takes you through all the details of my favorite defense against 1.d4. Black gets active pieces in every variation and, typically has most of the fun. Here are a couple quick examples of the lines.

Here's another sacrificial idea that I've had countless times. The course explains the details of exactly when this sacrifice will work.

Here's one more example of the fun you get in the QGA, a shocking sacrifice that has caught a world champion.

You can find the course here

Feel free to ask any questions and I'll be sure to let you know more about a perfect way to meet d4.
