This last weekend, NYU hosted it's first in-house tournament of the 2025-2026 academic year! While the event was not as large as we hoped we had a great time and some very interesting matches!
Firstly I'd like to showcase what I believe to be the most interesting position during this event which occurred during Round 4:
In this position it is black to move, and it is forced mate in 3 for white! A very beautiful knight sacrifice to secure this win for Hovik!
