The 3rd Annual Music City Open is back, and if you're a serious chess competitor, you won’t want to miss this. From February 21-23, 2025, Nashville, TN, will once again host some of the fiercest battles on the board at the Millennium Maxwell Hotel. With top-level competition, a projected $13,000 prize fund ($10,000 guaranteed), and a city full of energy, this is your chance to prove your strength and take home your share of the winnings.
Why You Should Play
This isn’t just another weekend event—it’s one of the premier events in the country with 4 competitive sections!

Championship (Open): Fight for $2,000, $1,300, and $800, with additional prizes for U/2200. This is where the best come to battle.

Challengers (U/1800): A fierce section with prizes up to $1,200.

Reserve (U/1400): A competitive field with a $1,000 top prize.

Novice (U/1000): A great proving ground, with a $800 first-place prize.
Tournament Format & Registration

3-Day Schedule: Traditional format, kicking off Friday at 7:00 PM.

2-Day Schedule: A faster track, merging into the main field Saturday evening.
