A Beautiful King's Gambit Game
Here's a beautiful game that I just had to publish and try to save it from oblivion. I just completed it this night so I am leaving nothing to accident and gonna put it outthere right away. It was a correspondence game that lasted 7 days, and I played King's Gambit which, although not a perfectly sound opening for white, almost always guarantees a lot of fun because of it's incisive and edgy moves.
It contains a beautiful sacrifice, one of most dear elements of chess play to me, and one which is imho the most paradigmatic of chess being made in the image of Life. Also bear in mind this sacrifice is always there in King's Gambit, even if you can't do it every time it's important because in words of the famous Nimzowitsch, the threat is more powerful than execution.
P.S.
Just after I published the article I realized the key sacrifice here was available 2 moves before I even spotted it. So I should keep it in mind that there are always great sacrifices available even if I don't see them right now.
