DO NOT Lose your Queen! | Antidote for IM Rosen's Crazy Englund Gambit! | Day 2
I am sure everybody and their mother have already seen this opening. In one of my previous blog posts named 1.d4 Players HATE This! I explored the infamous Englund Gambit where Black sacrifices a pawn for tricky stuff. On the 2nd Day of 12 Days of Naycir, I explored IM Eric Rosen's crazy Englund Gambit line, which got him a lot of wins! I am so proud to announce that I saw his video before I experienced this very dubious, tricky line and I could develop a working plan.
The TRICKY TRICKSTER DOT COM Plan
I was tempted to try this but you know, I didn't want to waste my hard earned 4-digit rating... Then one day, a wild Englund Gambit appeared when I was playing in Live Chess.
I knew the target was my queen! So, prioritizing queenside development saved my day!
Here's the video about this particular line! Enjoy!
This gambit got so famous, I played against it on Saint Louis Chess Club's live stream! Then this very clippable moment appeared!
When life gives you Englund Gambit, take the free biscuits. 🍪😇 Luckily I watched @IM_Rosen 's video and I learned how to play this.😈 pic.twitter.com/clxWTkZHIT
