
Robin Hood Gambit | Stealing from the Rich and Giving to the Poor
Have you ever played an imbalanced game where you collected all the free biscuits, felt really rich then suddenly you adjusted the level of the game and started giving your advantage away? I recently started calling this weird phenomenon Robin Hood Gambit. In the following example of the Robin Hood gambit, where me and my chat tossed the name for the first time, I gained a pawn and a knight for free out in the opening. I was forced to give my belongings when my opponent found a good move X-raying my queen and bishy so I had to give some of my richness away. Since I also stream some of my games, I talk a lot and often go into time scramble. Under the time scramble I managed redistribute the wealth again in favor of my opponent but this time, they went under time pressure and I had passers on the both side of the board.
