EPISODE 105: "THE ANCHOR PROTOCOL"
ACT ONE
INT. THE HIDDEN BASEMENT LAB - CONTINUOUS
The room is silent, save for the hum of cooling fans. KALEB picks up his cracked mask. He doesn't put it on. He looks at his reflection in the dark lenses—red-eyed, exhausted, but no longer shaking.
KALEB
Jax. Pull up the city’s power grid. Every node, every relay. If Malice-Byte is a virus, he’s not just hiding in the fog. He’s feeding.
JAX (from the monitors)
Already on it. I’ve been running a diagnostic on the "Static" he left at the car. Kaleb... he didn't just blow it up. He digitized the matter. He’s pulling physical atoms into the network to build a bridge.
C.I.R.C.U.I.T. skitters onto Kaleb’s shoulder, its red LED eyes narrowing.
C.I.R.C.U.I.T.
Probability of a total reality-overwrite within six hours: 88%. We are currently living in a trial version of a nightmare.
SPI-MECH (Connor)
Then we stop being the prey. Volt-Spider, Prism Weaver—with me. We’re building a Faraday Cage the size of a city block.
EXT. THE NEON DISTRICT - NIGHT
The sky is a jagged mess of purple lightning and "dead pixel" clouds. The PACK moves through the rooftops with surgical precision.
THE PILOT (Luna) hovers the Eclipse Sphere in the clouds, her purple HUD highlighting the "infected" areas of the city.
THE PILOT (Psychic Link)
I see him. He’s at the Central Power Hub. He’s weaving a web of black glass between the transformers.
VOLT-SPIDER (Jax Sterling)
I feel the drain. He’s pulling enough juice to fry a continent.
RED-RIDER (Paul) is on the ground, pedaling through an alleyway choked with digital fog. He stops, seeing a group of terrified civilians huddled behind a dumpster as the ground beneath them begins to turn into translucent cubes.
RED-RIDER
Kaleb! We’ve got civilians in the 'Delete Zone' at 4th and Vine. If the ground finishes rendering as static, they’re gone!
KALEB (V.O.)
Spider-Blue, Neon Vixen—evacuate them. Use the cooling webs to stabilize the ground.
EXT. CENTRAL POWER HUB - MOMENTS LATER
Kaleb drops from the sky, landing on the hood of a corrupted maintenance truck. MALICE-BYTE stands atop the main transformer, his obsidian armor glowing with stolen electricity.
MALICE-BYTE
You returned quickly, Interceptor. Have you come to join your parents in the recycle bin?
KALEB
(Calmly)
Actually, I’m just here to deliver a final notice. Your subscription to this reality has been canceled.
KALEB slams his hands onto the metal floor. ELECTRONIC INTERFACING triggers. Blue veins of light race from his fingertips, meeting the gold sparks of VOLT-SPIDER and the silver cables of SPI-MECH who have surrounded the perimeter.
KALEB
NOW!
THE PRISM WEAVER (Cici) vanishes, her Active Camouflage expanding into a massive dome of shimmering pink light that traps Malice-Byte inside a "Hard-Light" prison.
NIGHTWEAVER (Nyx) drops from the ceiling, her midnight amplification kicking in. She moves like a blur of stardust, pinning Malice-Byte's shadow to the ground with energy-infused webs.
MALICE-BYTE
(Snarling)
You think a cage can hold a god of data?!
He lunges, his obsidian claws ready to tear through the light-shield, but he stops. He can't move.
THE SILVER CRESCENT (Willow) is perched on a nearby crane, her Pack Call howl vibrating at a specific frequency that disrupts the "Static" in his armor.
KALEB
Jax! Upload the Counter-Code!
INT. THE COMMAND CENTER - CONTINUOUS
JAX hits the 'ENTER' key with a roar.
JAX
DELETING SYSTEM PREFERENCES!
EXT. CENTRAL POWER HUB - CONTINUOUS
A massive surge of white light erupts from the center of the cage. Malice-Byte screams as his obsidian armor begins to flake away into harmless code. The "Static" fog begins to dissipate.
But as the villain shrinks, his mask shatters. Kaleb freezes.
The face under the obsidian armor isn't a monster. It’s a version of Kaleb—older, scarred, and with eyes that have seen a thousand worlds die.
MALICE-KALEB
(Choking)
You... you think you won? I’m not the virus, kid. The Multiverse is the virus. I was just trying to... save us from the Convergence.
The villain disintegrates into a pile of harmless, glowing dust.
The dome fades. The PACK stands together, breathing hard. The city begins to "re-render" back to normal. Paul cycles up, leaning his bike against a railing, breathing a sigh of relief.
Kaleb stands in the center of the dust, looking at his hands. He looks at his team—the wolf, the fox, the mech, the invisible girl, the biker.
KALEB
(Into comms)
Jax... we closed the hole. But I don't think the "Convergence" is over.
JAX (V.O.)
Kaleb... I’m looking at the monitors. The signatures didn't disappear. They just... scattered. There are hundreds of them now.
KALEB looks up at the sky. The stars are normal, but for a split second, they all flicker like a dying lightbulb.
KALEB
Then tell the Pack to get some rest. We’ve got a lot of deliveries to make tomorrow.
FADE OUT
