EPISODE 107: "THE GLITCH VIRUS"
ACT ONE
EXT. THE SHIPYARD - CONTINUOUS
The shipyard is a chaotic symphony of elemental clashes and clashing steel. KALEB is mid-air, dodging a volley of LADY VULTURE’S sonic feathers, when FLIPSIDE launches himself upward. The mirror-faced droid doesn't punch—it extends a jagged, pixelated data-spike from its palm.
KALEB
(Psychic Link)
Guys, I’m being targeted! Jax, my HUD is—!
The spike grazes Kaleb’s mask. The red lenses flicker to a sickly, neon green.
INT. THE COMMAND CENTER - CONTINUOUS
JAX falls out of his chair as every monitor in the basement turns into a scrolling waterfall of black-and-violet code. C.I.R.C.U.I.T. begins spinning in circles, its voice pitching into a high-frequency scream.
JAX
Kaleb! Flipside didn't just hit you! He uploaded a Trojan-Byte. He’s using your Spider-Sense as a broadcast tower to infect the rest of the Pack!
EXT. THE SHIPYARD - CONTINUOUS
The Psychic Link—the team's greatest strength—instantly becomes their greatest nightmare.
WILLOW (Silver Crescent) stops mid-pounce on KRAVEN. Her pupils blow wide as she "sees" the forest of her home world burning, but the fire is made of binary code.
NIGHTWEAVER (Nyx) stumbles, her starlight-sense showing her visions of a thousand Kalebs all falling into a void.
MAYA (Spider-Blue)
(Voice distorted in the link)
Everything is... rendering wrong! I can’t see the floor!
HYDRO-MAN laughs, his watery form expanding into a massive tidal wave.
HYDRO-MAN
Look at the little spiders. They can’t even tell which way is up!
KALEB is paralyzed. In his mind, he’s back in the car with his parents, but their faces are shifting into MALICE-BYTE’S scarred visage. The virus is forcing him to relive his trauma on a loop, freezing the "General" of the Pack in place.
LADY VULTURE dives, her claws aimed straight for Kaleb’s throat.
RED-RIDER (Paul)
(Static-heavy link)
KALEB! DUCK!
Paul is the only one not affected. He doesn't have a high-tech HUD. He doesn't have a psychic bond or magical senses. He just has a pair of thrift-store goggles and a bicycle.
RED-RIDER
(To himself)
Benefits of being low-tech... no signal to hijack.
Paul stands on his pedals, ignores the digital storm, and launches his bike off a shipping crate. He mid-air looses a strand of Light-Red Webbing, snagging Kaleb’s belt and yanking him out of the air just as Lady Vulture’s claws whistle through the space where his head was.
They crash into a pile of rubber tires. Paul rips the cracked, glowing green mask off Kaleb’s face.
RED-RIDER
Kaleb! Look at me! The tech is lying to you! Look at the actual sky! It’s just us and some jerks in suits!
KALEB gasps, the real-world air hitting his face. The "Logic Error" clears. He sees his team struggling, trapped in their own heads.
KALEB
(Shouting to the Pack, voice raw)
UNPLUG! Everyone, rip your comms! Trust your hands, not the HUD! CONNOR, use your mechanical sense to purge the local frequency!
SPI-MECH (Connor) grunts, slamming his cyborg fist into the ground. He doesn't manifest a weapon—he manifests a Signal Jammer. A massive pulse of white noise erupts, shattering the viral link.
The Pack snaps back to reality. The villains, momentarily confused by the sudden loss of their "digital advantage," hesitate.
KALEB
(Grabbing a spare web-cartridge from Paul)
Nice save, Rider. Maybe 'simple' is exactly what we need right now.
KALEB turns to the villains, his face bare, his eyes glowing with his own natural electric blue power.
KALEB
Alright, Pack. No more headsets. We do this the old-fashioned way. WILLOW, take the Hunter's eyes. MAYA, freeze the water-guy. PAUL... stay on that bike. I’ve got a feeling we’re going to need a getaway driver.
FADE OUT.
