Christmas Bot Achievements
You get these secret achievements by defeating the chess.com Christmas bots.
IMPORTANT: These bots are only available in December.
- Defeating Powder (700) gives you the Precious Snowflake achievement
- Defeating Eve (900) gives you the Nutcracker achievement
- Defeating Santa (1200) gives you the Full Stocking achievement
- Defeating Dash (1500) gives you the Jingle Bell achievement
- Defeating Holly (2100) gives you the Holly Berry achievement
(The ratings change from year to year)
Steps:
- Wait until December, the bots are not available otherwise
- Go to Play -> Computer
- At the top will be the holiday bots. Select one of them, and click Choose
- Select any of the assistance options, play, and win
Tips:
- You can beat the bot at any difficulty level and still get the achievement. (any number of crowns)
- The bots are easier to beat if you choose the easy (1 crown) mode, as you can get engine suggestions for the best move
- The bots are easy to beat if you set a custom time control of 1 minute, they play too slow, and you can often make them run out of time (at least on the website, not the app, they are faster there)
