Video Achievements
You get these achievements by watching chess.com Videos for certain numbers of minutes. This achievement is bugged, because it is supposed to be that you get the achievement after watching certain numbers of videos, not of minutes. However, this makes it easier to obtain.
- Watching 1 minute of videos gives you the Press Play achievement
- Watching 10 minutes of videos gives you the Popcorn Lover achievement
- Watching 100 minutes of videos gives you the Film Buff achievement
- Watching 1000 minutes of videos gives you the Movie Star achievement
Most chess.com videos require premium to watch, but there are some that are free, and they can be found here: https://www.chess.com/videos/free
You do not have to watch the whole video for it to count towards the achievement. In fact, you only have to watch a couple of seconds at the end of the video for the whole video's length to count towards the achievement. The most efficient way to get this achievement is by watching really long videos, such as the livestreams found on pages 3 and 4 of the free videos library.
IMPORTANT: Videos in lessons do not count towards the achievement
Steps:
- Go to https://www.chess.com/videos/free
- Skip to pages 3 and 4
- Select one of the long videos
- Skip forward to the last few seconds of the video
- Wait for the video to end
- Repeat with more of the long videos
