My REAL chess story
It all started when my friend @Unicorndude2010 and l were doing a meeting, earlier that day are PE teacher was teaching us about chess, so @Unicorndude2010 challenged me to a game but l lost but l liked playing the game l thought it was pretty cool, so l started playing it. Firstly l was really bad at it, l kept losing games over and over again my points kept coming to 100-109 and then would come back to 100 again because l probably lost or just wanted to resign because the player had more profit than me.. It started coming to the point when l started losing an interest in the game, l kept on and on losing because l thought the game was only for smart people, I remember at that time @Unicorndude2010 also told me a few tricks/tips to aleast win some type of game, l love that because she kept helping me to make forks and traps to get some piece l started taking it to consideration to play again. I was still losing games still but l knew giving up wasn’t the good path for this because chess helped me with my anxiety attacks and problems and helped with my deep concentrating issues (I couldn’t focus that well nobody expect my family knew that) I started making it a goal to win a game with checkmate l told myself that if l win because resignation l wouldn’t count that as a goal, I started watching videos of how do to checkmate with pieces and started practicing it on robots, soon l started getting it and then l started playing with people online and started gaining my points, soon enough it came to a point when l started to win a lot of games by checkmate and l felt so happy. l take chess as my happy therapy, l soon made this account to play on and l feel happy that somehow l can beat people to 700-600 (SOME I also lose) but I feel proud because nobody in my family actually know how to play chess, it was only me and l self taught myself. I’m not saying I’m some great chess player who has years of overall experience l started playing this game a few months ago but l would never forget the person who helped and brought me here.
