Chess.com is proud to announce that its news team collected three prestigious Chess Journalists of America awards this year. 

In the "Best Tournament Report - National/International - Online" category, FM Mike Klein was honored for his Nov. 30 report: Carlsen Wins Rapid Playoff, Defends World Championship.

Klein also earned top honors in the "Best Interview Online" category for his exclusive interview from Feb. 28, Ousted Iranian Player: 'My Wardrobe Should Not Be Anyone's Business!'

Klein won a third CJA award for his reporting in Chess Life. A Golden Age Returns won "Best Tournament Report - National/International" in the print division of the awards. 

The Chess.com journalist Peter Doggers received the CJA award for "Best Tournament Report - State/Local - Online" with his news story from May 17, 2016: Amsterdam Pub Crawl Tournament Marks 25th Anniversary. Doggers shared top honors in that category with Jamaal Abdul-Alim, writing for USChess.org, as votes were tied for first place.
