In the above 5 moves you see an example of how White can prevent Black from castling Kingside. After the move 5. Ba3 the Bishop points at the square f8 and therefore Black cannot castle Kingside in the next move as the King cannot castle into or through check. Black can instead play d6 and in this way prepare castling.
