Medieval War Lore

January 16-22

As the North slowly turns into a violent place the south is still cooking in the fires of war. The latest news is the war between - Road to GM - and Red Pawn - Chess Team. Their war between a1 and b1 is still raging but since Road to GM took over a2 Red Pawn - Chess Team has attacked them and now there are two battles between R2GM and RPCT. That's a lot more blood on the line!

In other news, the most peacful part of the world today is the South-East. In fact, much of the East land is very free of war, except for The Chess Mafia which is in the North fighting against Chess Ultramasters and Your Worst Knightmare.  The rest of the East is quite civilize, they're only taking in one battle at a time... Slow and steady wins the race.

After a day of peacefulness where the only peace we knew was no new wars something happens...Kingdoms start mobilizing during the first Medieval War Mobilization day. The first clubs to take advantage of the day were Lets go (@divyaujjwal) taking f8 and Road to GM (@Nightly-Knight) taking e5 and The Golden 64 Squares (@Nightly-Knight) to d4. This new bit of action is scary as these first three clubs that have started the mobilization had a total 7 wars with other clubs. That's a lot of wars with only 3 clubs. Read next paragraph for the next phase of this drastic change.

It seems like the leaders like the looks of the North. They are gathering just to the north of the big fighting in the South-west.  Some clubs have also mobilized to the far north where there is still very much a peaceful area. New action includes Lets go mobilizing one territory to it's West, The Dark Knight rises jumping way up north and Chess Ultramasters (@angryspacevoid) taking the North of the big fight.

The next morning the fun seems to have only just begun 38 territories are now occupied. several of these being done during the night before. Many of the territories have already started wars with their surroundings. The place is in total upheaval, I don't even know if we'll know peace anywhere in the world again.

The Battles that officially started were all started in the North. Now the North can no longer be called peaceful, but there is still portions of the world that are sort of peaceful. Mostly the Middle-North (North, but not the upper North) The peace there has so far continued on after the first surge of populating that occurred during the MD.

When the MD finally was over a total of 15 clubs claimed an extra territory. The last being Scholar's Mates (@ChessHistoryRocks) who managed to squeeze in just an how before the MD closed for the day! That was a close one.

The battles didn't stop coming in during the MD, actually the amount of battles surged during this time of MD. The leadership of the map thought it might create peace, but it clearly failed to do that. In fact world leaders are beginning to quarrel. Your Worst Knightmare and Chess Mafia is in a squabble, whether it turns into a battle or not is not yet known.

The news is out! More news has come and this new bit is going to frighten some peoples. The Territories G1-3,H1-3 and I1-3 are all now closed off and construction tape is surrounding them. What is going on in there no one knows. It's blocked off and the big words "Construction" are covering the map. Wait a while and We'll find out what's cooking. Maybe a beast it about to jump out at everyone in the vicinity.
