Vidit's Hometown - Nashik Set To Host Indian National Rapid And Blitz

Vidit Gujrathi's hometown - Nashik is all set to host the 2022 MPL National Rapid And National Blitz Championship from April 27 to April 30, 2022.

The champion of the events qualifies to play the respective category in the World Rapid And Blitz Championship which is likely to take place later this year. Chess.com India's team will be on-site to share the updates of the event. Below are all the details of the event and information on how to follow all the action. 

Format & Sechedule

The rapid event will start on the 27th of April. There will be a total of 9 rounds with a time control of 15 minutes plus with an increment of 10 seconds additional time per move, starting from move number one. 

The blitz event will take place on 30th April and all the eleven rounds will take place on the same day. The time control will be 03 minutes with increment of 2 seconds additional time per
move, starting from move number one.

Prizes:
The cash prizes will be awarded to 25 players in Rapid category
amounting to Rs.4,00,000/- and in Blitz category to 15 players amounting to Rs. 2,50,000/- as given below:

How Can Players Participate?
All entries are to be routed through the respective state associations. Entry fee could be paid through All India Chess Federation's portal: https://prs.aicf.in/entry
