So I got many messages from my fans that they wanted to know the secret on how to improve at chess blitz. Big shotout to KingBhavyathe1st because he gave the idea of this amazing blog. So lets hop in it.
Main Blog-
So improving in chess needs a lot of hardwork especially in blitz. I just wanna share you all guys my experience about my first blitz game. I was bored from playing rapid. I was pushing to 1500 rating. I was bored. Then something striked my mind. Why not try blitz chess for the first time in my life. I rushed to play a blitz game and was shocked to see that I only got 3+2 time. I was scared and panicked. I forgot all main lines. And as you all know I was defeated badly. So time is a major problem in chess. Many players do not prefer blitz because it got time problems. Let me share you another incident. I was playing in a chess tournament. I was on rank#2. So if I defeated rank#1 i could win the prize but if I lost I
would been thrown to rank#3 or maybe 4. I was stressed. The arbiter said Start the game and I was black. Sicilian Dragon was played by me. I was winning. Time control was 3+0. I was on 5 sec time and my oponent on a 10 sec time. I just needed to find a 1 move mate. But as I moved my queen to checkmate I lost due to time. I was thrown on Rank#4 and I really felt very bad that day. This is the main reason many people dont preffer Blitz. But according to me Blitz is not as bad as we think. Lets se how.
Why should we play Blitz and is Blitz worth it ??
The first question. Is Blitz worth it ?? Is Blitz chess worth of hours of study. So the simple answer is Yes. Yes it is worth it. But why ?? Why it is worth it. Let me explain. As you may know in my country which is India, very less blitz tournament are held. I have just played around 2-3 blitz while i have played 20-40 rapid tournaments. So how is it worth it. As you may know the world championship is held in a blitz time. I mean world championship is mainly played on a Blitz time with 3+2 increment. I suggest playing blitz and bullet. Just dont hurry. Keep patience. Play the main line. Trust me blitz is worth it.
The second question- Why should we play Blitz ??
For the one who is asking blitz help us improve the main line and as I told you world championship are held on Blitz time. You can always play Blitz online. Its your choice in which time you are comfortable. Many go with rapid and many with classic. Less people go in blitz. But I recommend trying all players even classic players to try blitz.
How to improve at Blitz ?? Pls give us tips and tricks
1. Practice
Practice chess online. Yes you are right. This is the key fundamental. Practice blitz. Let me share you my experience. After I lost my first game I became mad. Then I practiced a lot and now I am good at blitz. Now I aim to be more better. Just spend 1 hour of your day in blitz. Solve puzzles as fast as possible. You will surely improve.
2. Play with the community or friends.
Play with experienced players and play with friends. Teach them blitz. Even if you loose dont be mad just improve. Just think that you want to be better than them.
3. Analyze Games
Analyze Games. I have always told you. Even if you win do puzzles. Dont worry of loosing. Just play chess for fun. Analyze and find good moves or better moves.
4. Observe Games
Observer and analyze games of world class players. Just spend 15 minutes on analyzing. You will surely improve. See them how fast they play and learn from them. And also analyze their games as they play world class moves which can help you improve for sure.
5. Play tournaments.
Last and the final tip is to play tournaments. Aim for Rank#1. If there are no blitz tournament near you no problem. I am here for you. You can challenge me for a blitz anytime.
