Top 5 best chess.com features in my opinion
There are many fascinating features on chess.com. Today I will talk about my favorite.
#5 Puzzle Rush
This feature was introduced to chess.com in 2017 and was a big hit ever since. To find it just press the puzzle icon on the left hand side when you will see the option Puzzle Rush. Your task is to solve as many puzzles as possible in a given period of time. You can choose to have 3 minutes, 5 minutes or unlimited time.
#4 Vision
This tool is particularly relevant for those who are new to chess and want to learn the coordinates. Can be found from the learn menu on the left hand side. You get 30 seconds to locate as many coordinates as possible. If you are on a more advanced level you can remove notation from the rim of the board.
#3 Playing other people
This is a feature we now take for granted and have become accustomed too.
To find it just hover over the play button on the right, press the option play and finally press the green play button. And now you are able to enjoy a game against a player of similar strength!
#2 Puzzle battle
This is addition over puzzle rush. You play a puzzle battle but against another person. The goal is to solve more puzzles than them within 3 minutes. Be careful though, three strikes and you are out.
#1 Lessons
Scroll over the learning icon on the left, press the lesson and you are here.
The lesson system is rather simple. You watch a video then answer an interactive lessons. This means that if you play the wrong move chess.com will indicate why and perhaps give you a little hint to get you on the right way. It contributes to a greater understanding than simply solving tactics.
