The Immortal Game
Something I am working on, in answering why chess in the forums:
I am still trying to figure it out. I can say that it appears to be man's ultimate riddle. It is a game that draws and something speaks to me in side that says, "Keep playing, you will get better." It is my personal cross to bear, and what lifts my spirits. It draws me in then shuns me away. A game of war, that teaches of peace. It is the Immortal Game that spans borders and the earth. When seen in a room, it pulls anyone, young or old- novice or master- into its folds. It has taught man about himself, taught us about computers, and revealed to machines how to beat us. It is an oracle, a Dojo of logic, all contained within 64 squares.
Like this entry, it is a work in perpetual progress.
