ONE WORLD League will start on November 3 and 24 with one of its new tournament formats in its Daily Season 2025. Season Premiere will be an annual version of ONE WORLD League's well running seasonal Masters/Experts/Candidates tournaments: They will be played in three rating ranges for Chess960 and six rating ranges for standard chess (3 days/move, 4+ players).

.

960 1600+, 1300-1600 and U1300 matches will start on November 3 and 1900+, 1700-1900, 1500-1700, 1300-1500, 1100-1300 and U1100 on November 24.

.

Clubs, which will register for all rating ranges will need to manage fifteen (Chess960) respectively thirty (standard chess) simultaneously starting matches, which will be both an equivalent to five big matches for the entire club (all starting at the same date).

.

1WL Continental Championships and World Cup Challengers

.

The second and bigger new format will be 1WL Continental Championships and World Cup Challengers, which will determine 16 clubs for our first 1WL World Cup 2025/26. Matches will be played with 3 days/move, without rating limits and without a max. number of players in seven rounds from December to June on first Sundays.

.

Clubs with a membership referring to one continent will play in Continental Championship and their Qualifiers tournaments (open to all clubs, which are ready to play on 5+ boards). Clubs from Americas Championship, European Championship, African Championship, Asian Championship and the World Cup Challengers (for clubs with a multi-continental membership) will qualify separately for 16 spots in the 1WL World Cup 2025/26. This tournament will take place with a group stage from September to November 2025. Four group winners will advance to a final stage during Spring or Summer 2026.

.

Our usual OPEN divisions are postponed and will take place from July to November 2025 with five to seven rounds (if needed, two additional rounds in months with five Sundays). Our 960 divisions will switch to second Sundays and divisions with rating limits will continue as usual on third Sundays (U1800 / U1400 and additional U1000 divisions) and on fourth Sundays (U1600 / U1200 divisions). These three competitions will all start in December 2024.
