For those eager Chess.com who check the events/streaming calendar every day to see when the next "Beat FunMasterMike" show is, we have just the thing you're looking for -- finally a chance to beat me! For real!

We know it's hard to play me. As soon as I finish a game, dozens of challenges pop up so quickly and I just don't have time to everyone. However, now is your chance ChessKids!

FunMasterMike's first attempt: 6 minutes, 48 seconds (click the picture to watch)!

On the last few episodes of Beat FunMasterMike, I've introduced a new worldwide competition: the Bot Speed Race. Now I want you to try to beat my best time!

Here's how it works:

  • Go to our bots home screen.
  • Click on level one (Qwerty).
  • Now get out a stopwatch, or your smart phone (most have a stopwatch feature).
  • Start the timer right as you make your first move, and try to beat Qwerty as fast as you can!
  • After you beat Qwerty, and we know you will, quickly press to change bots (leave the timer running).
  • Now pick level two (Reboot) and so forth, until you have defeated levels 1-5.
  • Make note of your time right as you checkmate level five (Hyperlink).
  • If you make a draw or a loss, go back and try it again.
  • Keep trying again and again to see if you can beat your own record, or FunMasterMike's best!

Anything under 15-20 minutes is simply fantastic. So far, FunMasterMike posted a time of 6 minutes, 38 seconds, then in my next attempt, 6 minutes, 16 seconds. I'm going to keep trying to get under six minutes. Remember, you must win all five games for it to count.

FunMasterMike's current record is 6:16 (click the picture to watch it happen!).

Have you posted a personal-best time? It doesn't have to beat FunMasterMike to show off your own record. Let us know on our social media channels and add #ChessKidBotSpeedRace so we can find it easily.

If you want to claim the official record, you'll have to make a video of your attempt so we can verify. I know there's kids out there faster me. Let's have you prove it!

The first 20 kids to capture their bot speed race on camera and share the video on social media get a free month of gold membership. What are you waiting for?
