Game # 16: Better Lucky Than Good
I went to see Sourcecode recently. It was better than I thought it would be. I give it a B+. The idea of using technology to manipulate information in such a way as to assist with police investigations is very interesting.
This movie gave me the idea of using a theoretical device that can detect the residual tachyons from large nuclear explosions (tachyons are hypothetical subatomic particles that move backwards in time) in order to triangulate the position of a future event. Hijinks with retro-causality ensue.
I am a believer that sometime in the future, computers will become so powerful as to be practically omniscient. Not only projecting future events with pinpoint accuracy but recreating the past, down to every word that has ever been said.
This game has me againt GhengisKahn. He has wiped the floor with me many times. I am grateful for for the opportunity get smashed by this guy.
I start the game terribly, losing a pawn for nothing...he is so used to smashing my face that I am able to finagle a cheap checkmate on him. Finally!
