M8 ending with pawn=B and 6-piece no Queen Mate.
I started the game below in a Blitz match and then continued from a certain position against the computer and got a more interesting ending. The thumbnail shows me hanging a rook, which would have been bad. But I deftly distracted my opponent from my boneheaded blunder and cruised to a final checkmate using 6 pieces, one of which was not a Queen. Interestingly this is an uncommon Mieses Reversed Rate opening as well. Well, maybe not so uncommon. Chess.com Openings shows popularity has increased significantly (0.7% to 1.8%) just this year. Following the real game, I started from a certain position and played against the max computer just to test lines. I found that best play from the midgame results in M8 with checkmate delivered as pawn=B#. do you see it?
