GM Richard Rapport's Birthday

Today, March 25th, we celebrate the birthday of one the most creative and dynamic players in the world: Richard Rapport.

Richard was born in Szombathely, Hungary on March 25th,1996. He began playing chess at a young age and quickly demonstrated a natural talent and passion for the game. Rapport achieved the title of Grandmaster in 2010 at the age of 13 years, 11 months and 6 days, making him one of the youngest Grandmasters in history. Currently, Richard Rapport has a rating of 2720 and sits at number 27 in the world. His peak rating was 2760.
