A trendy universal Weapon against the Taimanov/Paulsen/4-Knights?

The sicilian defense is known for being one of the most fighting and aggressive openings.

Preperation with white might be difficult, there are not only aggressive and straight forward variations such as the Dragon. There are Najdorfs, Sveshnikovs and how they are all called...

I personally had struggled very long against 2...e6 with white.

White has tried many different 3rd moves, and now it seems a very new trend is appearing.

Now black has a few options, and against an astonishing amount, white can just go a3!

It looks strange, but the move is doing a lot! It covers the b4-square, so the bishop is restricted to moving to b4, another advantage is that the pawn strom might be slowed down.
