Round 1 of Daily Chess Championship

2023 Daily Chess Championship

Recently, I decided to take part in the 2023 Chess.com daily chess championship. I was put in group 2163 with 11 other players, and our group finished all our games this week. Most of the games, admittedly were just timeouts. Out of the 22 games I played, 16 games didn't get past 5 moves due to time-out. But that still left 6 games to play in a time format of 1 day with no vacation.

And at the end of the first round of the Daily Chess Championship, I finish at the top of my group with 22 points undefeated. I also gained quite a bit of rating. I did get lucky with my pairings as I was near the top of the seed and rating in the group, but the second round will most likely be a bit more challenging.
