Looking for action

With nothing else going on locally Gary Maltzman hosted another edition of his action tournament series at the Morrisville Outlet Mall today. This time, instead of his normal two-round format, we added a third round of play so that it would be more like a regular event. I was the third rated player in the open section and scored two out of three points to tie for second. My two wins were fairly crisp efforts against players rated in the low 1500s, and my loss was a rather short, but violent venture against a master. I will likely blog that game later, especially given its picturesque finish, but I want to take some time and figure out what I did wrong in the opening of that game first.

Anyways, here is my first round game, where my opponent stumbled out of the gate and never fully recovered....
