Soooo close

I had not planned on playing in the TACO today, but since there was an odd number of players in the Open section, I decided to go ahead and join the fun. Man am I glad I did! I came very close to winning the Open section despite being the lowest rated of the eight players in the section. In round one I played a former RTCC member whom I had had quite a bit of previous success against. It turned into what I have to believe is the best endgame I've ever played.

I will probably annotate my round two win in which I defeated an expert with the black side of the Panov-Botvinnik attack and my disappointing loss against a strong expert in which I maintained a solid advantage until blundering a piece in the late middlegame. I could probably rationalize that I just ran out of gas mentally (It's not easy directing and playing after all.)
