Tal is the genius of world chess
In my first blog I want to tel about Tal and his style of play.
Firstly, Tal was very fond of taking risks. Many of his victims were incorrect. Tal often donated material not because he saw a specific winning option, but for the sake of getting a gaming initiative. And that gave him victory in many games. For example, in the sixth game for the world title against Botvinnik, he won thanks to the incorrect sacrifice of the knight on thr pawn
It seemed to Benke that Tal was a hypnotist. He even put on his sunglasses. This one did not help - the game ended in eternal check, and the tournament won Tal.
Tal lived 56 years. And his last official game was against Kasparov. And Tal won.Kasparov lost in time. As Kasparov himself admitted, he was unable to timely solve the problems that the terminally ill Tal had created for him on the board.
In 1972, he issued a series of83 (!) games, taking five first places in a row. And in 1974, Tai held seven tournaments and 93 (!) games without defeats. The absolute world record! Tal became the youngest owner of a chess crown in 23 (only in 1985 did Garry Kasparov break this record).
Tal had many achievements. He was a real chess genius.
