Pawns are underrated

Pawns are my favorite piece.

Do you know why?

probably not.

I’ve been told numerous times that pawns are USELESS and just a WASTE OF SPACE. Well, I tell them with ALL MY HEART what I’m about to tell you. 

Pawns are only worth one “point,” but there are more of them than any other piece. Pawns are true underdogs, because they start off as the weakest piece, but if they succeed, and make it to the end of the board…

the can become whatever piece you desire!! (With the exception of the king… that would be weird!  ) if you *somehow* were to get all pawns to the end of the board successfully… you could have NINE queens, or TEN rooks!!!

pawns also can slyly play the en passant, (see in my third post) or capture pieces!

they can advance one space at a time, but at the start… you can move each one TWO squares at a time if you desire.

the pawn might not be the most flexible piece EVER, but hey… it’s a really cool and honestly UNDERRATED piece.
