Introducing PlunderChess®!

Greetings and welcome to my new PlunderChess® blog here on the Chess.com website! My name is Jeff, I am the creator/inventor of the game of PlunderChess®. (Yes, one word, no space in between, see app logo to the right.) This is a first time for me entering into the blogging world and truth be told, I have NO IDEA what I am doing… BUT… I intend to learn as I go. My blogging plan is to start slow by posting one or two times per week with what I think would be of interest to chess players who might like the occasional experience of “plundering” (or acquiring) powers from their opponent's captured pieces. Hence the name “PlunderChess®”! If we were f2f, I bet I could teach you the PlunderChess® game in 5 minutes or less. It’s easy to learn and incredibly fun to play. Lets get started.
For this first post I will introduce the basic concept of “plundering” in the game of PlunderChess®….see Rule #1 below AND... be sure to: click here to watch the 30 second video showing the pawn on d4 plunder a bishop vest and then use its acquired bishop powers to deliver checkmate! If you want to jump right into the rules, I’d suggest you visit our website www.plunderchess.com/rules and check out the “(11) Point Rules Summary” page.
Rule #1: "Plundering" occurs when a chess piece captures an opposing piece and immediately "plunders" or "acquires" additional moving capabilities directly from the piece it just captured, hence, strengthening the capturing piece.
