Whaaat?! You say a KING can deliver checkmate in PlunderChess®?!

Did you know that in the game of PlunderChess® a king has the capability of delivering checkmate or check to its opponent?  How is this possible?  First, we know from traditional chess that a king can never move itself into check... So how then can a king deliver checkmate or check?  Answer… the aggressor king must attack opposing king at a safe distance from an unthreatened square and with the checkmate (or check) coming from the power of a captured vest.  On the board above, the white king can checkmate in one move.  Do you see it?  The clock just started.

Ans: Kxg6*N#  …King captures g6, plunders Knight vest, Checkmate... (Note: checkmate comes from the plundered knight vest)

Greetings!  My name is Jeff Knight, I am the inventor of PlunderChess® a very simple-to-play, fun tweak to chess which allows players the ability to strengthen their pieces as the game progresses.  This strengthening comes as the chess pieces gain additional “one-time future” moving capabilities plundered (acquired) from their captured opponent’s pieces.  Hence the name PlunderChess®.  I am new to blogging and look forward to posting what I hope to be interesting topics/puzzles related to PlunderChess®.  I hope my blog will stretch your imagination on the chessboard and be enjoyable to read.  I welcome any of your thoughts/comments.  If you want to email me, I can be reached at plunderchess@gmail.com  Thank you for reading/following my blog!  Happy plundering on the chessboard!  Jeff
