Rule #3:  Upon a capture and when plundering is elected (yes, plundering is optional, more on that later), a "color-coded vest" that corresponds to the moving capabilities being plundered from the captured piece, gets coupled to the chess piece that made the kill. This newly acquired vest, visible to both players, displays the pieces extra moving capabilities for one future move only.

NOTE: If you are playing PlunderChess® via game app on your iOS or Android mobile device, this plundering benefit is illustrated by the overlaying of a color-coded banner (called "vests") on the piece that makes the capture. The color of the vest acquired corresponds to the powers it just plundered from the captured piece.  Vest colors are; green for pawn vest, blue for bishop vest, orange for knight vest, red for rook vest and yellow for queen vest.  Each vest, in addition to being color-coded, is labeled according to its powers.

The above board shows a black Knight wearing a yellow Queen vest (KnightQueen or NQ) on c6… and… checkmate delivered by a black Bishop wearing an orange Knight vest (BishopKnight or BN) on h3.

Greetings!  My name is Jeff Knight, I am the inventor of PlunderChess® a very simple-to-play, fun tweak to chess which allows players the ability to strengthen their pieces as the game progresses.  This strengthening comes as the chess pieces gain additional “one-time future” moving capabilities plundered (acquired) from their captured opponent’s pieces.  Hence the name PlunderChess®.  I am new to blogging and look forward to posting what I hope to be interesting topics/puzzles related to PlunderChess®.  I hope my blog will stretch your imagination on the chessboard and be enjoyable to read.  I welcome any of your thoughts/comments.  If you want to email me, I can be reached at plunderchess@gmail.com  Thank you for reading/following my blog!  Happy plundering on the chessboard!  Jeff
