E-Chess
Summer this year turned out to be very hot in Moscow. Many were looking forward to the sunset to plunge into the blessed coolness of the night. On one of these nights, the idea of E-Chess came to my mind.
The game starts with an empty board.
Players take turns placing their kings on the board. The rest chess pieces appear later during the game.
The king is placed by the player on his own half of the board, that is, on one of the ranks 1-4 for white and 5-8 for black.
The players then move the kings and chess pieces (as in standard chess) that appear on the board.
Every time a piece moves from its square, then a new chess piece appears on that particular square, following the simple order K>P>N>B>R>Q
A pawn appears on the square where the king was standing. The knight appears on the square where the pawn was standing. The Bishop appears on the square where the Knight was standing and so on.
And only when the queen moves, the appearance of a chess piece does not occur.
On the first and last rank after the king's move, the appearance of a pawn is not possible.
A player wins the game when he/she checkmates his/her opponent's king.
There is no castling. There is no en passant.
The idea seemed so interesting to me that I immediately rushed to the chessboard and played a short game according to these rules.
1. Ka4 Kh5
2. Ka3 Kg5
3. a5 Kg6
4. Nc3 Kh6
5. Be8 g4
6. Bc6 Nf7 (too late)
7. Rh8+ Nxh8
8. Qxh8#
or after 7. Rh8+ Kg7
8. Rh7#
It was getting light outside the window. The city was again expecting the summer heat, bringing melancholy and many problems to Muscovites. However, this did not bother me at all, because with such an amazing chess variant, you can survive any troubles and move forward.
